Ankita Lokhande Early Life And Education
In Indore, on Wednesday, December 19, 1984, Ankita Lokhande (as of 2021, 37 years old) was born under the name Tanuja Lokhande. Sagittarius is her sign of the zodiac.
She completed her education and graduated from Indore. Acting was Ankita’s passion since she was very young. She used to perform in the Ganpati Utsav and Navratri festivals while she was a college student. Ankita enrolled in the Frankfinn Institute in Indore after graduating to begin training to become an air hostess. She also tried out for Zee Cinestars Ki Khoj, a talent hunt show, and was chosen. Ankita won the title of “Best Dancer” in the show despite not winning the competition. She then began modeling and participated in numerous print shoots.
Shashikant Lokhande, her father, worked as a banker. He died on August 12, 2023. Vandana Pandis Lokhande, her mother, works as a teacher. Jyoti Lokhande is her younger sister, and Sooraj Lokhande is her younger brother. Her fiancé Vicky Jain and she were married on December 14, 2021.

Lokhande worked on the sets of Pavitra Rishta in 2013. Ankita Lokhande participated in India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj (2007-09) and won the lead role of Archana Deshmukh in Ekta Kapoor’s daily series Pavitra Rishta.
She portrayed Archana opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and Hiten Tejwani from 2009 to 2014. After a generational change in 2013, Lokhande co-starred with Karan Veer Mehra as Archana’s granddaughter Ankita Karmarkar until the show’s 2014 finale.
Ankita Lokhande participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 4 and Comedy Circus ka Naya Daur, where she placed fifth. Ankita Lokhande made appearances in two Ek Thhi Naayka episodes opposite Sachin Shroff.
In 2018, Ankita Lokhande made an exciting announcement as she embarked on her film career, taking on the role of the warrior Jhalkaribai in the epic historical drama, “Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.” The film, co-directed by Krish and Kangana Ranaut, revolves around the life of the iconic Rani Lakshmi Bai.
As the movie made its grand theatrical debut on the eve of Republic Day in 2019, it swiftly became a commercial success, making its mark at the box office. Ankita Lokhande’s portrayal of Jhalkari Bai was particularly lauded, with Bollywood Hungama noting her excellent performance and the lasting impact she left on the audience, despite her limited screen time.
In 2020, Ankita Lokhande continued to shine in the world of Bollywood by joining the star-studded cast of “Baaghi 3,” the third installment of the action-packed Baaghi trilogy. Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala and featuring top-tier talents like Tiger Shroff, Shraddha Kapoor, and Riteish Deshmukh, the film showcased Ankita Lokhande as the older sister of Shraddha Kapoor’s character, who was married to Riteish Deshmukh’s persona.
Unfortunately, the movie’s release coincided with the onset of the COVID-19 outbreak in India, which led to the temporary closure of theaters and had a noticeable impact on its box office performance. Nonetheless, Ankita Lokhande continued to demonstrate her versatility and acting prowess in this high-octane action flick.
After a two-year break following her breakup with Rajput, Lokhande was reportedly set to make her acting debut in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s 2018 period epic Padmaavat. She did, however, remark that she wasn’t ready for the movie and left the movie.
There were rumors the following year that she and Sanjay Dutt had been chosen for the role of Torbaaz in Girish Malik’s movie. The rumors were later proven false, though, when Malik declared that Ankita Lokhande would not be contributing to the film.
